the death of the headphone jack is literally the most annoying thing apple has ever done. its still such a ubiquitous port that i use DAILY for more devices than i have fingers, and now its just not on any new expensive gadgets for NO REASON. and it actively makes my life worse. who thought of this??
Im really loving my nothing phone 3a, but it has no reason to lack a headphone jack besides copying apple; now i cant use it with my sennheiser HD 650s. I just bought a JBL clip 5, the design is lovely, its nice and bassy, but i cant use it with anything other than my phone. -- that rules out all my music equipment, which sucks, because i wouldve loved to use it with my EP-133. for some reason the Clip 5 apparently doesnt even have audio over USB-C, when it has no other ports. whatever.
bluetooth is very useful AT TIMES, and the ubiquity of USB-C across practically all modern devices is a dream. however, the delay bluetooth introduces narrows its use case to exclusively prerendered media, which is a huge deal for me. the amount of times i want to use a speaker to just have better audio quality, in a game or for anything, is uncountable. and the fact i have to carry around an adapter to avoid that hideous delay, for what used to be a *standardized feature* and is still VERY CHEAP to impliment, is so impeding. its just fucking ANNOYING. and all for what? a thinner phone? BAH HUMBUG. my nothing 3a is easily thicker than my last several motorola g play's. apple's stupid wireless future my ass - we dont live in magic land, things still need wires!!
